The key to aging well, moving better and breaking free from old patterns lies in tending to ourselves from a brain and nervous system informed perspective. As our bio-operating system, the NS functions to keep us safe, but at a cost to our growth if it is out of balanced or frozen.

Connection starts with learning to accurately read and respond to our body sensations; with knowing how to load weight into our spine and feet so that we are relaxed, grounded and stable. From this embodied safety, we can be more resourced and available to connect with life and others in meaningful ways. Connection is also the ethos of our virtual studio, where classes are offered on donation so that it is accessible for all.

Functional yoga is about moving well, not holding extreme poses. It blends therapeutic yoga, fitness skills & neuroscience so that you efficiently improve mobility, core and pelvic function, vision and breathing while you are "just working out."

Learning to move with playfulness and curiosity in useful patterns that improve your daily living not only discharges stress, but builds strength and capacity. Plus, it wakes up your brain and makes the practice more enjoyable and self-sustaining.

Yoga that meets you where you're at. Three weekly donation-based classes on Zoom geared for those who want a mindful approach that's also keeps them strong and mobile (hello, weeds or babysitting grandkids). Plus, option to subscribe to the recordings so that you can practice on-demand.
